Chatroulette

Chatroulette launched in 2009 and turned random video chat into a global phenomenon almost overnight. Its roulette-style matching, a single click to skip to the next stranger, created countless unexpected encounters, and plenty of them turned explicit. This category gathers the sessions associated with the site, many of them from its chaotic early years when moderation was light and the user base exploded. Expect the classic setups: grainy webcams, curious strangers, sudden reveals and long cam2cam shows. If you want to see where the random chat era really began, Chatroulette is the natural place to start.
